The WordPress block editor is failing me. Or I’m failing it. Or, perhaps a combination of both.

First on-the-outskirts-of-raw morning here. Good leave raking weather. Put on a flannel shirt and get to it.

Relaxed Americana.

Breathing things snoring as they sleep.

The sound of winter.

The antithesis of bombastic.

Music that transcends the ages.

Word counts that actually are readily viewable. No clicking necessary.

This is the classic editor

It’s like classic coke. Or your favorite flannel shirt. The one you always come back to, the one you can nap in.

Approaching winter invades until it finds the bones.

The classic editor holds its hand out to welcome winter.

Light a fire.

Start a fire.

I don’t recall which way it is.

Put your head on my shoulder.

Imagine if the preceding was a surgery you could opt for.

That’s why English and winter go together.

Like Classic Coke and New York Pizza.

Nothing is as timeless as Microsoft Office 98 for Mac Word. Things would flow nicely.

Whether you use WordPress’ block editor or classic editor, you should expect some quirks.

I don’t typically write reviews.

It’s just as technology advances and we get these wonderful enhancements, the consideration that is comfort goes out the window. Or at least it seems to.

Is it too much to ask that we have a writing tool software-wise, that does its job and stays out of the way at the same time?

I always thought it great how either the block editor or the classic editor underlines WordPress when it is spelled incorrectly. Actually, kind of like that last sentence write there. Did you see what I did with the whole “write” there thing last sentence?

Be thankful for small favors.

Fingernails that are long enough that they can be of help when you have a knot in your shoelaces. Or should I say not?

I think not.

Fingers that aren’t too long that they interfere with typing, but long enough to just flow with the rhythm unencumbered.

People don’t find what they’re looking for here.

At least’s that’s why my analytics team is informing me of.

Evidently, I have a high bounce rate.

And that’s alright.

Because I try to have just a little bit of everything unexpected here. And that’s not always easy.

Still haven’t used the block editor since opening up to blog before.

I put a blanket around Big Dawg as he snoozed in the adjacent chair. Only his head is exposed. He looks good. Now he’s dreaming.

But I digress.

We’ve got a nice library of my stuff here.

Yes, there’s a paywall and yes, you can get everything free by clicking through one page at a time a la carpal tunnel as you go through more pages than your hands can handle.

You only have so much time to spend.

So, why not buy me a beverage on the main page just to say you did it?

This is why I do everything  I do–so that you might enjoy something about it, too.
