It’s hard to get writer’s block when life sometimes gets too busy to find time to write.

Sad but true.

Writers know no escape from life getting in the way of doing things we love to do.

So, what do I end up doing?

When I write these days, I find myself taking frequent breaks. As a result, it’s no longer probable I’ll pound a piece out in one sitting.

That’s all fine, though.

It’s just one way I find myself adapting to change I can’t control.

This writing style is probably going against the grain of everything someone would teach a student who wants to write.

Sit down and don’t get up until you write something.

Not.

That’s not the way things work anymore.

Computers and the digital age didn’t make our lives easier as they allowed us to do more work.

Granted, there are conveniences like online shopping that offset some of the issues that life in front of screens poses.

Older computers are still a great value and will continue to make it difficult for us to remove ourselves away from screen life for more frequent breaks anytime soon.

My most valuable machine is an off-brand Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of memory.

I don’t believe a new Mac is available for purchase that can run on 4 GB of memory.

The fact that Windows 10 can run fine on it is one of the reasons I recommend PCs over Macs.

Linux is also a great way to renew an older PC and breathe some life into it.

Starting and stopping seems an indefinite given.

Rebooting is still the magic salve that cures many computer ills.

Will Joey Gallo and Anthony Rizzo make a difference for the Yankees?

Doing dishes can be hardly therapeutic; they end up doing the washer into dishpan hands.

Sharing my screen is not the same as sharing my ice cream.

Baseball’s second half is underway, but with players reporting for NFL training camps, it won’t be long before football is atop its perch of most prominent buzz.

Sadness surprisingly can creep in.

Happiness seems to always be there, though, at times, it assumes a more lurking stance and lower profile.

Time is something we never have enough of.

Sleep is increasingly important as we age, and it’s made more bittersweet by the fact that despite all our attempts to improve its quality as we get older, it’s never as consistently deep and restful as it was during our younger days.

Life experience is something that gives me a competitive edge during my waking hours.

Adding consistently good night’s rest to that life experience would make me virtually unstoppable.

Rotating different fruit into your diet is cumbersome.

I love oatmeal to the core of its every fiber.

I add protein powder to it occasionally, but I’d much rather have a steak.

Only 4G cell phone network coverage has been good enough for me. However, I suspect it will be indefinitely.

I am a YouTube non-influencer.

I really like that more than I should.

Trying to think of the perfect ending to this.

Still…

There’s nothing like the prospect of your head hitting the pillow to call it a day.

Or the completion of another post.
