Junk tends to accumulate almost as fast as dust does.

I don’t know why this is; only that it is.

My problem is dealing with either of them.

Dust needs a duster.

Junk requires a dumpster.

It’s tough for me to find the time to do laundry.

Dusting and picking up junk clutter is not something I enjoy doing.

The sense of satisfaction at completing a light dusting, or sprucing up of clutter does little for me.

However, when it comes to junk, just getting it out of the field of view is typically enough for me to feel I’ve done a good job with removing the eye sore that is a state of advanced junk clutter.

I suppose one could describe part of my existence as having experience with an acceptable amount of junk, dust and clutter.

Junk, dust, and clutter have power over me but only if I give it to them.

Dust can take a while to build up. By the time it does, though, it can be too late to do anything about it.

If surface dust protects the dust that lives beneath the surface, then both my surface- as well as below surface dust are holding their own.

This all gets me to wondering if I’ll ever be as fastidious about dust as I was when I enjoyed a game of billiards.

I remember taking the dust brush along any given table’s side rails. This dusting of the pool table really helped the ball roll better on the table.

Having the balls roll better through regular dusting was incentive enough back in the day for me to engage in dusting at all in the first place.

I’m not sure I’ve ever dusted as regularly as I did when I was shooting pool several nights a week during my youth.

Shaving when it’s cold

Had my better half buzz my head over the weekend.

I’ve had difficulty getting warm since then,, for whatever reason.

Hair, if you’re fortunate to have some on the top of your head, does keep your head warmer.

Which begs the question, what grows fastest: Hair, dust, or clutter? Or none of the above?

Does a tie go to the clutter?

I’m not sure so at least for now, this question shall remain unanswered.

Speaking of things that you don’t normally think of, do fingernails grow faster than hair, dust, clutter, or all or none of the above?

Not entirely sure if I want to know the answer to this one, either.

Knowing the answer would only lead to my ignoring doing the one I can put off the longest, as if the path to ignorance lies littered with those who’ve come before me in search of this question’s answer.

I’m grateful for things like drawers that can insulate someone’s summer shorts during the winter.

Mind you, the shorts are not insulated enough that you can get away with wearing them during the winter.

It’s just that shorts kept in cabinets are protected from dust. And clutter. And fingernails. And junk.

So, at the end of the day, please be considerate to your neighbors and don’t let a swinging glass door hit you if you can help it.

Thanks gang.
