Late Saturday afternoons are like late Monday afternoons save for the fact most of us are not working as they do on Mondays, Tuesdays, or any other weekday.
The word weekend has always sounded so negative to me. There is not a word weekbeginning, so I thought I’d use it here.
Another first for hittingthesweetspot by Bob Skelley at bobskelley.com.
I’m sorry, but listening to a radio show that plays music from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s just makes modern music look like crap.
I guess beats rule over music that simply rocks.
If it mostly features a beat, turn it up and just let it vibrate you, hopefully, not to the point that is onset deafness.
This differs from suggesting the music is deftly played.
Most of the music is not actually played these days, anyway, so much as produced electronically or synthesized.
Just give a good blues guitar player a wah-wah pedal, let them go to town and enjoy, I say.
Take care of yourself has always meant the opposite of abusing yourself.
So, no matter what kind of music you enjoy, listen at a safe distance from the speakers it’s coming out of.
Once again, I’m not trending.
And once again, I’m not caring I’m not trending.
Trending schmending.
Ooh, a late flagging of schmending not being a word. But, once again you’ve seen another newly suggested word here for the first time.
I like that I haven’t used any titles for blog posts lately that begin with Five reasons you are acting stupid. I know it’s great click bait, but when you really don’t need click bait of any kind, it cheapens the forthcoming content ever so slightly. If the content that comes after a headline like this is merely mediocre, then it cheapens it substantially making the overall post less than average.
That Bob is less than average but he’s a really nice guy said no one ever.
Don’t beat around the bush of life. Get to the point say the experts.
I tend to agree with that thought with the lone exception being when I really don’t know what point I’m trying to make.
Then it’s time for total obfuscation and if that’s your goal, consider it easily accomplished.
Posts here tend to really raise the bar.
I would suggest a bar has no business being razed unless all of the bathrooms aren’t functioning.
Did you see what I just did there? I thought so. Just checking.
It never ceases to amaze me how many variations of beans, cheese, rice, and tortillas Taco Bell comes up with. Never ceases. Ever.
That one came out of left field.
Like left field ever deserved to be in a saying like that. Why disparage left field? Why couldn’t it be the other way around? Like if something came out of left field and was awesome. Until such time, though, I guess left field will have a negative connotation.
I’d like to see some movement whose sole purpose is to measure the immeasurables. This way I’d never have to talk about intangibles with anyone ever again. If everything were measurable, including those things deemed immeasurable, we would no longer require intangibles to be on resumes, as they would physically be able to be touched, rendering them, yes, tangible.
So what could we do to get rid of the tangibles? Please do not suggest somebody come up with a way to render them intangible.
