I was bemoaning the fact my spam issue persisted until I located a couple of informational pieces with suggestions on how best to address this nasty juggernaut I previously had no way of slowing down.
It’s only been 24 hours but so far so good.
I’ve also taken measures to better safeguard the proprietary nature of the content here. This was a two-fold process where I had to consider how best to stop the unauthorized sharing and publication of my content.

It’s a game of cat and mouse featuring computer viruses, malware, adware, and ransomware. These are very nefarious things and it’s best for the general home users out there to keep their machines completely up to date, whether you’re running Windows, Mac or Linux variants.

Baseball playoffs
Today marks the first day of baseball’s postseason.
Like always, those teams lacking adequate, good starting pitching will most certainly be exposed.
Good pitching always overcomes good hitting.
Throw out everything you thought about teams’ regular season performance.
What they did in the regular season will have no bearing on the playoff games’ outcomes.
This fact was drilled into my head by the performance of the World Champion 1969 New York Mets against the overwhelming favorite Baltimore Orioles.
While the Orioles had a good team, and some say they underperformed in the series, the birds’ hitters simply had no answer for the likes of Mets pitchers like Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Nolan Ryan and Gary Gentry.
Sure, Baltimore pitcher Jim Palmer was a beast, but the Mets ended the series with just enough situational hitting, good pitching, and solid defense–the holy triumvirate of what is needed to thwart the likes of home run kings such as Aaron Judge.
My recollection of that Mets season is mostly littered with remembrances of my father laughing out loud in joy when it became obvious the Cubs would epicly collapse after giving up an impressive lead they held in August.
Dad’s laughter continued when the Mets took down the Atlanta Braves in the playoffs. I was silently fuming as the Yankees sucked that year and while I acknowledged the Mets had amazin’ pitching and defense I couldn’t stand the thought that those two things along with clutch hitting would be their ticket to greatness.
So, I didn’t begrudge Dad his reveling in all of that ya gotta believe madness that occurred during the summer of love 1969.
History has a way of repeating itself or at least coming close.
So, the words St. Louis Cardinals come to mind.
