Internet influencers, whether they be of the YouTube variety or blogging, Facebook or Instagram variety, have become the greatest modern-day examples of people who are legends in their own minds.

Many of them share physically attractive attributes, which pretty much caters to the eye candy seekers online.

I know many are making a ton of money rocking out bathing suits on most if not all of these platforms.

While they give me a reason to look, and sometimes yes, eventually click on a headline relating to them, I’m usually disappointed by the bad copy that substitutes for human interest stories.

Again, many of those modeling swimsuits such as Elizabeth Hurley or Selma Hayek can maintain their stature as eye candy influencers.

I have submitted to their online charms by occasionally clicking.

Am I guilty of prolonging their status as influencers?

Most likely.

But consider this.

Influencers did not exist before the modern-day Internet.

There were always movie and television actor celebrities who received their fair share of attention in newspapers, magazines, and TV ads and shows.

They really did not influence as much as draw attention to themselves.

My interest in them is pretty quick to shut down when they freely offer advice or unsolicited personal hygiene habits.

Why do they need to let me know about some things that are clearly personal and should not be for public consumption?

I really don’t know.

Anyway, the free publicity for Selma, Elizabeth, Ashton, and Mila end here now.

I know you know where to find them if you have to have more from them.

Why stay here?

Because I’m moving on to another topic.

Yay!

I love typing next to one of my dogs when they’re sleeping.

My Chromebook has mostly a very soft key clacking action, which really does not resemble a clacking sound.

They’ve heard this sound dozens of times.

It means dad will not be speaking.

Just gently clacking.

Clack. Clack. Clack.

I like the Chromebook keyboard because a person can type with fingernails that aren’t seen down to the skin.

When I played guitar regularly, sometimes I’d let my left-hand fingernails grow a little longer to prevent the steel strings from biting into my fingertips.

Anyway, the Chromebook is part of the peaceful, easy feeling that is typing next to at least one sleeping hound (said no one ever).

Old tech breakthrough!

Finally found two 4 GB DDR2 ram modules that should fit my old Core 2 Duo Tangent tower.

I tried some cheap old Dell Server memory previously with no joy.

The tower only has 4 GB of total memory, cramping the PC’s style on Windows 10.

It had mostly been fine until the recent Windows 2H20 update, which slowed everything down on this memory-deprived machine.

It’ll probably get here sometime next week.

I let you know if it fits, and more importantly if it works.

The Chromebook can no longer run video conferencing software like Zoom, WebEx, or Skype without buffering.

Old age has caught up with the Tangent tower and my Chromebook when it comes to needing video.

I still have an old Asus value laptop with 4 GB of ram and a built-in webcam.

It used to handle Skype just fine in 2011, but it’s 2021 now. Last time I checked.

Not wanting to leave anything to chance with the ancient laptop running, yes, Windows 10 also, I ordered an inexpensive webcam online.

At the start of the pandemic, they were nowhere to be found, as people were virtual meeting their behinds off.

The camera will plug into the Tangent tower.

It should work if the new memory does not.

I prefer the memory work, and if something had to not work between these two purchases, I’d prefer it to be the webcam.

I can’t say I really can’t wait for both of them to get here.

That is because I actually can wait.

They say patience is a virtue.

That may or may not be, but I can pretty much say with all certainty that viewing Internet influencers daily most definitely is not.

Which brings me to answer the question, “What do Internet influencers, sleeping dogs, and old personal computers have in common?”

NOWHERE else on the Internet can their specific mentions be found in one piece except here?

If that’s not reason enough to donate to express your appreciation for the efforts of the unique team here at this Internet crossroads, I don’t know what is.

Thank you.

Thank you very much.
