Of everything…

2020 is on the way out in just a few short months and if you do a Google search of ‘Surface RT’ you will be hard-pressed to find complimentary reviews.

Microsoft crippled this tablet computer and doomed its future compatibility by making Internet Explorer its default browser.

The Surface RT didn’t have a chance when it came to the web.

Where it excelled was and is as a writing tool.

I recently purchased a UK keyboard for it on eBay.

A few keys had stopped working on my old keyboard which was a generic brand that doubled as a case. It was USB-powered and had a cable that easily handled any number of other USB devices via a cheap hub connected to the Surface’s port.

It just needed replacing.

So I grabbed this UK baby.

Problem is…

I can’t go more than one sentence without making a typing error.

I can’t feel the keys sinking as I touch each one.

I never thought this would make a difference until now.

What to do?

Accentuate the positive.

What exactly is that, anyway?

Cool device

The Surface RT is a cool device in the sense it has the 2013 Microsoft Office Suite.

I don’t know what this costs in modern money, but it is definitely a familiar sight, so much so that I just think it is a value.

Except for this keyboard.

I can’t stand it anymore.

Switching to a Chromebook.

Live and learn.

Back on the Chromebook

This little ma-chine just scrr-reams!

The keyboard is alright.

My main keyboard on any given PC or Mac hooked up to a monitor (if it doesn’t already have one in the form of an iMac) is a Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard (insert some no. which escapes me).

Caps are for comfort.

I try to do the right things. I trim my fingernails for one.

But now that I know what I know.

I know I will never shake the fact the keyboard I purchased off of eBay was, and is, not the best keyboard for the Surface RT.

Apparently, they have another type of keyboard for the Surface RT but nobody cares.

I love tech

Always have.

They make systems all around on both the hardware and software front that seem to continually make choices easy.

If you don’t have much money you need value.

If you have some extra bucks hanging around and can afford to pay a little more, you tend to acquire the better machine and components.

Life should be unifying

Whether it’s your family…

Whether it’s your friends…

Whether it’s the people you haven’t met yet…

When you meet someone, what is your approach?

Are you entering random meetings with an other-than-uplifting motif?

I understand there are periods when motifs do not even enter the equation.

If someone is better off for your interaction, why not ensure this notion of helping the stranger?

Gratitude and Acceptance

Equates to focus.

The rest is blurry.

You just read 500 words online that originated in an old version of Microsoft Word that resided on a now-obsolete tablet computer.

But smile.

You have no reason not to.
