He may not realize it, but Donald Trump, by virtue of his inability to provide any detail regarding specific plans he may have with respect to policy (on any issue), may very well be tapping into commonalities that will secure him the presidential election come November.
How many of us go through life without making a plan? How many of us are great starters but poor finishers? Who among us hasn’t thought about a get rich quick scheme, only to bow out at either the last minute or before surrendering significant funds?

Most of us just want to chill.
That’s correct. Read that again. Better yet, let me just type it once more for you to read: “Most of us just want to chill.”
We work jobs we agree don’t define the kind of people we like to think we represent.
It’s what we do. It’s not who we are.
Plans and goals are somewhat important things to have. I only question the necessity of either. As John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans.” Don’t critique my exactness as I don’t fact check on google so much as paraphrase based on recollection.
I’m apolitical. I truly don’t care about either Republicans or Democrats or the two party system with Libertarians on the outside looking in.
The “Internaut” is 25 years old or so at this point, and as far as I’m concerned, why we all haven’t insisted as agreed-to-be-governed citizens that we have the ability to vote on the Internet for whomever we choose, is beside me. If we could, we wouldn’t be so concerned with either Democrat, Republican or Libertarian so much as we would voting for the most qualified candidate. And of our own choosing, too, in the privacy of our own homes.

Yadi loves Power Macs.

Yadi loves looking at things with a full belly.

My dog is enjoying the new view out the front window of our home we share with his Mom and me. His Mom is my wife, just to be clear. The dog continually is teaching perspective.

Before I trimmed the bushes obscuring his view out the front windows, he would struggle to see what was out in the world (aka the street). Now, with the bushes neatly brushed back away from his vantage point, he is experiencing what is out there anew again.
My boy has no plan. He is just enjoying checking everything out once more. He doesn’t need a plan, especially since he knows either Mom or I will make sure he has breakfast and dinner.

I believe this is how many of us in the United States are viewing things right now. At the very least it is how loyal Trump supporters may view things. They don’t care about detailed plans on how to solve either immigration problems, the national deficit, race relations, terrorist activity or anything else for that matter.
Feed the country. Make sure we are clothed, fed and have jobs if we are able to do them.
Otherwise, you will see more comparisons to the animal kingdom.
I look at the three fish in our pond and think they, too, don’t care about a plan. They just enjoy clean water by virtue of our cleaning the pond filter. They also like they can count on food from Dad and Mom during the months they are not in suspended animation.

We humans have no suspended animation. The 24/7 fake news cycle prevents our naturally tuning out and enjoying some stillness.

Trump may be on to something. When asked for details, he provides none. Why should he? A plan is just like an annual budget: you change it during the year as you see fit.
Perhaps the best plans should consider something far less grandiose and simpler: make sure people don’t go hungry.
A chicken in every pot. It may be a dream from days gone past, but nonetheless a dream worthy of a plan.
